Renowned catering company Occasions Caterers located in Washington, DC is seeking an energetic and highly motivated person to join our team. Prior experience in fine dining catering or hospitality and a passion for food is desirable.

The Transportation Manager oversees all functions of the Occasions Transportation Department. This position schedules and monitors all deliveries and pick ups, planning efficiently to minimize labor costs while ensuring on time arrivals. In conjunction with the Shipping and Receiving Manager and Manager on Duty, this position manages driver down time to guarantee maximum efficiency. The position oversees the entire fleet including maintenance, and advises on vehicle purchases. Facilitates proper communication and teamwork needed to satisfy internal sales department and other members of the management team.
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening, weekend and holiday work may be required as job duties demand.
