Description
Our Enterprise Information Protection team is seeking a Senior Cyber Metrics Advisor who is motivated to serve our operational teams in the ongoing identification, development, and management of their key metrics and reporting processes. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of metrics-driven reporting practices that is able to articulate a clear story that provides visibility into the current operational performance and initiative execution to an audience that ranges from Operational Leads and the Senior Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
The Senior Cyber Metrics Advisor will play a key role as a member of the Cyber Strategy and Metrics Team in the continued development of a centralized metrics and reporting capability within the Enterprise Information Protection team. This will be accomplished through the identification, development, documentation, and implementation of key metrics and manual reporting capabilities that provide visibility, insights, and accountability into our security activities, as well as provide enablement of operational practices such as strategic planning and investment prioritization. The work will also serve as foundational requirements/wireframes that will directly impact the ongoing reporting automation being performed by a broader team.
Responsibilities
Identify and establish key performance, risk, and control metrics for designated functional areas that will drive impactful actions and decisions to address key risks and threats, improve operational performance, and drive capability maturity
Owns full lifecycle management of metric and reporting activities from initial metrics identification/ development through reporting and ongoing metric maintenance
Identifies existing metrics and reporting capabilities within functional
Determines key reporting needs (target audiences, message being communicated, etc.)
Determines gaps in existing reporting capabilities and reporting needs
Develop new metrics and consolidate reporting to address gaps and reporting needs
Design and develop reporting templates to serve as functional MVPs and automation wireframes
Develop high quality reporting templates for key audiences ranging from Operational Teams to Senior Leadership
Monitor and advise on opportunities to continuously improve and optimize existing metrics and reporting capabilities
Drives development processes and reporting styles that are consistent with the Cyber Metrics teams core principles and align to industry best practices
Drive the adoption and use of key metrics and reporting capabilities within the functional areas in order to inform daily operations, tactical activities, strategic planning, and risk management
Ensure consistency and accuracy of metrics and reporting
Maintains manual reporting capabilities so they can provide immediate value-add to the organization and serve as foundational requirements for development and automation efforts
Collaborates with our Cyber Metrics Product Owner in order to provide reporting requirements that will be used to development technical roadmaps for development activities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field or relevant experience
Strong understanding of end-to-end reporting processes including metrics collection, tracking, and reporting, including ownership and responsibilities for each activity
Ability to evaluate operational processes and activities in order to quantify and aggregate various data elements into key metrics
Outstanding analytical skills with an ability to ensure metrics are aligned to strategic goals and will drive key behaviors
Highly collaborative, consultative, and team-oriented working style; ability to interact and drive meaningful conversations with technical and non-technical partners and stakeholders
Strategic communicator - able to simplify the complex with proven experience presenting to top level executives
Experience collaborating with customers to create wireframes and user-friendly data visualizations
Broad cyber security industry, technology, and security knowledge including understanding of operations, technology, communications and processes
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Prior experience working in Lean-Agile teams and environments
Continuous improvement mindset
Excellent problem solving skills and attention to details
Strong analytical skills
Passion for consumer-centered design methods
Preferred Qualifications
Industry certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, etc.)
Prior experience designing and delivering cyber security metrics, reports, and dashboards that provide actionable insights for diverse audiences including senior management and Board of Directors
Prior experience and knowledge of reporting, visualization, and analytics solutions such as MS PowerBI, Tableau, Splunk, native Microsoft Azure and/or GCP analytics services, etc
Additional Information
Associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster, or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
