Description

The Lead MongoDB Cloud Architect leads the planning, design, and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and MongoDB database platforms related to cloud computing. The Lead Cloud Architect works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Responsibilities

The Lead MongoDB Cloud Architect performs technical planning, architecture development, and modification of specifications for cloud computing environments. Develop specifications for new IT MongoDB database products and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.

The Lead MongoDB Cloud Architect will support multiple database technologies both On-Prem and in the Cloud.

Other Responsibilities Include:

Directly responsible to cross-functional senior leadership to drive adoption of technology and processes

Manage a team of high performing individual contributors, focusing on project oversight and problem resolution while removing barriers

Build strong partnerships with Humana Development and Site Reliability Engineering teams as well as with database vendors

Drive problem definition and resolution on bridge calls with multiple IT and business partners

Direct the implementation of newer technologies to provide for more stable environments

Support critical business processes including financial close, wellness programs, claims, enrollment, etc.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

8 or more years of technical experience

2 or more years of project leadership experience

5 or more years of MongoDB and ATLAS technology implementation experience

5 or more years of Cloud architecture experience in Azure and GCP

Experience in Implementing ATLAS in Azure, and GCP public cloud

Understanding of enterprise application technology architecture, databases, networking, and infrastructure as code

Strong scripting experience - Unix/Shell Scripting, Python

Fine-tune configurations. query, Implement optimal backup and recovery

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Strategic thinker and people leader

Strong skills in architectural documentation and Presenting skills

Additional Information

For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated (preferred) or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while on-site at work.
