Duties:

  • Consult with high-net-worth clients to understand their financial goals and concerns.
  • Draft trusts and other testamentary documents tailored to each client's unique needs.
  • Develop tax-efficient strategies to minimize estate taxes, gift taxes, and other tax liabilities.
  • Advise clients on wealth preservation and asset protection strategies.
  • Counsel clients on philanthropic strategies and charitable giving and draft charitable trusts and foundations.
  • Assist clients with the transfer and succession planning of businesses.
  • Handle real estate matters related to the transfer and management of high-value properties.
  • Oversee the administration of trusts and estates, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to provide comprehensive wealth management services.
  • Conduct legal research and stay abreast of changes in laws, regulations, and public policy affecting estate planning.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy for clients with sensitive financial information.
  • Supervise and mentor support staff and junior attorneys.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California; Bar admission to WY, NV, FL a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning, preferably with high-net-worth clients.

Education and Certifications:

Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of estate planning principles and strategies.
