Purpose and Scope:
Reporting to the Senior Payroll Administrator, the Payroll Administrator position is an integral part of the Payroll team with responsibilities for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and ownership of the payroll process. Performs all activities necessary to process the, entering new hires, terminations, adjustments in the ADP WFN payroll system, processing attendance bonuses, Short Term Disability payments and involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, maintaining related records, documenting and updating procedures, preparing special reports for management and other payroll duties as required.
Principal Responsibilities
Process bi-weekly payroll using ADP WFN
Subject matter expert on wage and hour regulations, payroll, federal, state and local tax requirements
Process new hires, terminations and payroll adjustments for the Ky location
Enter in federal and state tax exemption data and direct deposit account information in WFN
Transfer hours from eTIME to WFN
Create pay data batches for Benefit adjustments, Short Term Disability payments, Terminations and Vacation Payouts and Referral Bonuses
Attendance - Recording of Notes and creating weekly attendance report
Monthly OSHA Report
Perform detail reconciliation from prior to current payroll
Follow up with missing punches with appropriate supervisors
Serve as the main point of contact for employees with payroll questions
Keeping employee payroll records, payroll system and database up to date and accurate
Assist in the review of quarterly and annual tax reports
Support regulatory payroll audit requests as required

Knowledge and Skills
Strong knowledge of Payroll principles and best practices
Strong analytical skills, outstanding organizational skills and superb attention to detail are a must
Tact and diplomacy for dealing with internal employee issues - respect for confidentiality a must
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in fast-paced, high volume environment
Able to multi-task and meet deadlines
Knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to communicate with co-workers and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
Education and Experience Requirements:
Associate’s degree or equivalent.
2–5 years of work experience in payroll administration.
Experience with ADP WFN and Enterprise e-Time preferred
Degree of Supervision:
Minimal supervision.
