Conflict of Interest Officer
The candidate will have authority on behalf of the university to take action regarding conflict of interest (COI) disclosures, including defining conditions by which researchers can continue to conduct research. Duties also include advising and consulting with researchers, staff, and the university’s Conflict of Interest (COI) Committee about review and approval of outside financial interest disclosures as compared to on-going research. Ensures that the review and resolution of research-related conflict of interest disclosures follows all federal policies and regulations. Conduct this review of the personal financial information of IU staff and faculty with the highest standards for confidentiality and in a manner that fulfills university policy and federal regulations. Work with the Associate Director in RIICE and IU COI Manager in the administration of the university Conflict of Interest Committee and Administrative Review Committee. Must have Bachelor’s Degree, plus 5 years of research compliance, conflict of interest, or regulatory experience. An advanced university Degree (Masters, Law Degree); experience with regulatory environment involving financial COI preferred.
