General Liability Claims Team Manager

The candidate will provide leadership, performance management, professional development and coaching, and technical direction to a team of approximately 8-10 technical professionals that handle less to moderately complex general liability (GL) claims. This will include conducting claim quality file audits, participating in claim reviews, approving claim payment/authority, creating and running team productivity reports, business problem solving, and ensuring compliance and best practices of the team. Regarded as a technical claims subject matter expert and instrumental in providing and ensuring customer service excellence through the development of partnerships with key internal and external contacts including legal counsel, customers, insureds, underwriters and brokers. Be a change agent and may also have opportunity to participate in projects and initiatives that drive the GL Claims business strategy in alignment with the overall Claims organization, and gain visibility with the Claims senior leadership team.
