The candidate drafts and prosecutes patent applications and conducts patent validity, non-infringement and freedom-to-operate analyses. In addition to patent prosecution, responsibilities include supporting IP due diligences, patent litigations, post-grant proceedings (IPR, PGR, interferences) and other IP matters related to small molecule pharmaceuticals. Should have 2 years of substantive patent experience related to small molecule pharmaceuticals; 3-5 years of experience preferred. Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred, or M.S. with several years industry experience) in chemistry, with a strong emphasis in organic or medicinal chemistry. Should be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
