Commercial Legal Counsel

The candidate will be tasked with running the legal part of exciting product development projects. Respond to requests by authorities. Manage contacts with outside counsel to address and resolve legal issues. Review and improve the legal aspects of existing routines and processes from a legal perspective. Monitor and advise on relevant legal and regulatory developments and trends. Oversee potential disputes. Support growth globally by helping commercial teams and contract owners with contract negotiations in North America and globally, with merchants and partners. Advise the commercial teams on general day-to-day legal matters. Provide contract training and other relevant legal training to the commercial teams. Take part in maintaining the global standard of documentation, drafting and modifying existing standard commercial contract templates together with the global commercial legal team. Although located in the US, will serve as the team’s first point of contact and source of truth for any legal matter arising in its problem space. To be successful in this role, you must have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in commercial contract negotiations in the US and Mexico. You may also have experience when it comes to privacy & data protection, marketing, and outsourcing.
