What Real Estate Development contributes to Cardinal Health Corporate Real Estate (CRE): CRE services are provided through a core group of technical professionals in concert with select industry alliances. CRE is responsible for the strategic management of Cardinal Health’s global real estate portfolio.  The portfolio is comprised of nearly 500 locations totaling over 24 million sq. ft. CRE is responsible for Business Unit Relationships, Transaction Management, Construction Management, Real Estate Administration & Portfolio Knowledge Center, and Facility Management. Through a team approach, CRE provides strategic real estate planning and tactical real estate services to all Cardinal Health locations worldwide.  The primary objective of CRE is to support business unit goals by building and maintaining business unit relationships, developing strategic tactical and financial plans for each facility, leveraging Cardinal Health, Inc. real estate assets, providing transaction services, planning/managing capital projects and establishing and managing national facility programs.  In addition, CRE is responsible for the facility management of key business locations throughout North America.  CRE promotes best practices for maintaining consistency with Cardinal Health strategic drivers and core values.  CRE is also responsible for Global Workplace services and environment.  The Project Development department is responsible for the deployment of $40 – 80 million in capital including 80 – 100 projects annually.\r
Position Description This position is responsible for working with Cardinal Health Business Units and Business Leaders to develop real estate projects that support their respective business functions.  This includes understanding the business function and conceiving a facility that accommodates this function including corporate office, warehouses, pharmaceutical/medical products manufacturing and laboratories.  After establishing a concept, with support from internal and external design consultants, the position would establish preliminary budgets and assist with securing internal capital approval. Upon capital approval, this position would be responsible for executing on project design and delivery utilizing various project delivery methods including Design/Build, Design/Bid/Build, and Construction Manager.  This position would also be responsible for coordinating all internal disciplines including Security, Information Technology, Quality & Regulatory, EH&S, Branding and Communications.  This position has bottom line accountability for being on time, under budget with complete customer satisfaction.\r

QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in a related field or commensurate experience10 years of experience in construction project management, project estimating, real estate development experienceStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Power Point, with some AutoCAD experience preferredAdvanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues with innovative solutionsSpanish bilingual preferredDesire and ability to travel approximately 25%\r
