Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Trademark Associate with at least two years of trademark experience to join its growing trademark team. Ideal candidates will have a background in trademark prosecution, enforcement, and strategy development. The position offers an opportunity to work with a variety of clients, from startups to large publicly traded companies, in a collaborative, dynamic, and fast-paced environment.

Location:

• Denver, CO

Duties:

• Conduct trademark searches and review search results.
• Develop global trademark strategies and assist in international trademark prosecution.
• Handle domestic trademark prosecution matters, including applications and renewals.
• Advise clients on trademark enforcement, including demand letters, online marketplace monitoring, and take-down requests.
• Represent clients in TTAB (Trademark Trial and Appeal Board) and UDRP (Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy) proceedings.
• Draft and negotiate trademark-related legal documents, including licensing agreements, settlement agreements, and trademark assignments.
• Provide legal advice on trademark portfolio management and related business strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to deliver business-oriented legal solutions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in trademark law, including prosecution and enforcement.
• Experience with trademark searching, global strategy development, and TTAB/UDRP proceedings.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Ability to handle a diverse workload and manage multiple clients simultaneously.
• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaborative work.
• Foreign language skills are a plus, but not required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction(s) or eligibility for admission.

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction(s).

Skills:

• Proficiency in trademark law, both domestic and international.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience in trademark enforcement, including online take-down requests and TTAB/UDRP proceedings.
• Ability to provide clear and effective legal advice to clients.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, team-focused environment.
• Knowledge of trademark portfolio management and trademark law strategy.
