Defines, designs and executes on the IT strategy, goals and objectives. Establishes system architectures; defines essential design features and provides a framework for IT professionals to follow. Evaluates technologies, defines standards, designs solution and reference architectures, and documents and manages the implementation of multi-year roadmaps. Addresses problems of system integration and compatibility. Responsible for the technical completeness and correctness of the integrated system, including the work of others. Provides thought-leadership, advocacy, articulation, assurance and maintenance of the architecture discipline. Responsible for ensuring the completeness of the architecture, in terms of adequately addressing all the pertinent concerns of its stakeholders; and the integrity of the architecture, in terms of connecting all the various views to each other, satisfactorily reconciling the conflicting concerns of different stakeholders.
Accountable for a highly complex and specialized area within a department. Establishes short- and medium-term business plans for area of responsibility. Provides input on functional strategy. Controls resources and is an integral stakeholder in the formation of policy for area of responsibility. Decisions are guided by resource availability and functional objectives. Utilizes strong judgment to determine approach to operational and strategic issues that impact multiple departments, divisions, functions and often have a substantial risk or monetary impact for the company. Applies advanced knowledge of departmental area and understanding of the organization to find creative solutions to often unprecedented problems or opportunities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
*Determine and develop architectural approaches and solutions, conduct business reviews, document current systems and develop recommendations of how to proceed with the applications. Play a significant role in the planning of the overall organizational IT strategy. *Document architectural models or views that show how the current and future needs of the organization will be met in an efficient, sustainable, agile and adaptable manner. *Develop architecture deliverables, including roadmaps, models and standards for all lines of business and capability domains. *Maintain and publish Architecture artifacts. *Partner with stakeholders, both leadership and subject matter experts, to build a holistic view of the organization's strategy, processes, information and information technology assets. *Partner with solution development and infrastructure leads to ensure solutions are in alignment with standards. *Participate in creating and evolving the technology roadmap that defines current technical architectures, future architectures and the evolution for transition for all projects. *Lead strategic technological planning to achieve company’s goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future technologies ensuring alignment to business and technology future state architecture. *Translate strategic requirements into a usable architecture, which may include an data model, associated metadata, common business vocabulary, ontology, and taxonomy, which serves to guide solution development and achieve consistency of information assets across the application portfolio. *Operate across organizational and computing silos to drive common approaches and to expose information assets and processes across the enterprise. *Oversee mapping of architecture models to packaged application models, to determine impact or assess suitability of vendor solutions to enterprise architecture requirements.
Minimum Education & Experience:
*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. In lieu of a degree, six (6) years’ directly related experience will be considered. *Ten (10) years’ directly related experience.

*Advanced knowledge of business applications with technical and configuration problem solving skills. *Advanced knowledge of architecture modeling. *Strong analytical skills and experience; ability to recognize, analyze and solve complex problems. *Strong data management skills; ability to audit, format, model and analyze large data sets. *Ability to distill data and analysis into high-level reports and summaries. *Ability to discern data inaccuracies through technical experience and knowledge. *Ability to develop system solutions for operational problems. *Ability to create concise roadmaps for complex technological problems. *Strong collaboration skills in order to partner effectively across various levels of the organization. *Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at levels of the organization. *Strong organization and process improvement skills. *Ability to effectively handle pressures and demands of deadlines and competing priorities. *Ability to handle confidential information and material with the highest degree of professional responsibility. *Ability to interact with internal business partners at a senior management level to clarify requirements and business needs for changes and enhancements. *Ability to prioritize tasks to meet business needs, including prioritizing the work of others on the team, when needed. *Ability to learn and utilize a working knowledge of broad business environment, energy industry and corporate operations. *Ability to interact in a team environment. *Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
*Sedentary to light work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. *Ability to view computer screen, sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time. *Ability to operate a computer, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.
*Ability to produce quality work in a fast-paced environment with high daily pressure to meet deadlines. *Ability to work non-standard work hours as needed or required to meet established deadlines. *Ability to work indoors, in an office environment, regardless of whether cubicle, open office or private office. *Subject to normal office noise levels.
