Develops and coordinates the plant production plans and demand requirements of master scheduled items for the assigned product groups. Responsible for maintaining a proper balance of necessary inventories in line with production requirements. Focuses on driving improvements in the supply planning process and execution. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read, write, and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Frequent inter-organization, BD World-Wide, vendor and outside customer interactions.

Represents the organization in providing solutions to technical issues associated with specific projects.

Performs project planning, justification, specification development, and budgeting.

Provides leadership for new product/process developments.

Identifies and implements continuous improvement projects.

Provides lead in creativity around solving problems.

Able to identify solutions to problems encountered, develop, and secures resource planning with general guidance.

Works with all Manufacturing areas of the Columbus Plant regarding process and machine designs.

Works with Plant engineers, management, vendors, consultants, and interfaces with other BD Plants, platform teams, sales & marketing on development, design, and fabrication of equipment or processes for new products and technologies.

Generates and submits new project ideas.

Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

: Associates degree - Engineering or related technical preferred.

Experience:

Previous BD or Medical experience preferred.

Previous leadership role, ensuring the ability to handle responsibilities of the job, is preferred.

Strong time management and organizational skills.
