Principal Divisional Strategy Consultant
The candidate’s role leads development of market and partner financial and operational engagement strategies, direct relationship development, critical contract negotiations, and internal cross-functional engagement to further Plan objectives by working with these partners across varying lines of business and provider types (e.g., Hospitals, Physicians, Ancillary). Work with other Network functions and broader IL Plan / enterprise areas to ensure alignment with partner strategies and the financial implications thereof; documenting and conducting analysis of current and proposed arrangements and broader impact on BCBSIL strategy / impacts on divisional and departmental short term and long term planning. Bachelor degree and 6 years’ experience in health care, health insurance, or strategic consulting environment OR Bachelor degree and 5 years consulting experience involving strategic planning, business development and financial management operations. OR 8 years of experience strategic planning, market research, network management, or product development in health care industry. Experience leading and formulating strategy with the ability to build strong connections with people and teams. Interpersonal skills, including presentation, written and verbal communication. Experience with business analytics and information synthesis. Knowledge of strategic planning techniques and industry trends. Advanced degree such as Juris Doctor, MBA or MHA preferred.
