Commercial Legal Counsel
The candidate should have JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state Bar. Should have 5-7 years of experience (in-house and/or law firm), including substantive experience in commercial transactions, insurance regulation and/or financial regulation/transactions. Should demonstrate the ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements and to drive global projects involving cross-functional teams. Familiarity with insurance law and financial regulation is a plus. Should be a self-starter, excellent at building strong relationships, able to work with clients based in various geographies, and comfortable advising senior leadership. Excellent communication skills: the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, present and speak up, influence, convince and confront ideas to get to the right decision. Creative, good judgment, hard worker, curious, strong attention to detail.
