Billing Coordinator
The candidate will be reviewing the time entries of all legal production staff on a weekly basis to confirm accuracy and reasonableness. Ensuring and enforcing compliance with the Firm's time-tracking policies and procedures by all staff. Answering any questions from clients and attorneys regarding billings and invoices. Reviewing all outgoing invoices for accuracy and then submitting these invoices to clients for payment. Processing payments, establishing payment plans, and corresponding with clients on past-due accounts. Tracking and collecting Firm A/R. Tracking average case values and assisting in maintaining firm metrics. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred. Should have 3-5 years of experience in billing in a professional setting; experience with Quick Books Online and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook; strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times; knowledge of legal software, case management, and docketing programs. Should be a highly organized person with great interpersonal and communication skills who appreciates a collaborative work environment and will be the right fit. Should have knowledge and experience in legal billing, Quickbooks Online, and Excel and can ensure our bills go out accurately and in a timely fashion, handle and collect on accounts receivable, and maintain client billing files in our client management system.
