CNC Machinist

Profile

Our client, an automotive parts manufacturer located in the Skokie area, seeks a CNC operator with at least 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be able to perform basic adjustments and change overs on CNC lathe machines, be able to read blue prints, and use measuring instruments proficiently.

Daily duties will include but are not limited to:

Position requires the ability to:

Operate CNC lathes and mills

Power up machines

Do daily TPM

Zero out/Home machine

Change inserts and perform offset changes

Perform set ups in three cells

Change jaws

Change tools/touch off

Load program

Run first piece and get QC approval

Ability to read blue prints and inspect work completed

Meet productivity and quality requirements

Demonstrate strong mathematical skills

Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude

Effectively teach level 1 machinist on operating machines and doing set ups
