Americas People Advisory Manager
Duties: Counsel and advise partners, managers and supervisors on performance management and the performance evaluation process, conflict resolution, staffing and disciplinary issues, ensuring that employment issues such as complaints and harassment allegations are consistently handled based on Firm policy and federal and state law. Counsel lawyers and Business Services professionals on performance issues and conflict resolution. Interpret and administer policies for staff in conjunction with department managers. Gather, analyze and present information to support Firm initiatives and professional development. Develop and document streamlined procedures to continuously improve processes, advancing both employee relations, recruiting and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Handle all onboarding, offboarding and the exit processes, including exit interviews. Oversee and manage budgets as appropriate. Work closely with the People Advisory managers and all specialist functions as well as key Partner stakeholders to provide support and guidance with respect to associate and employee relations issues. Review job requirements/qualifications, job descriptions and salary ranges with department managers. Source candidates, screen resumes and interview applicants using standard and behavioral interviewing techniques. Manage the offer and follow-up process using established Firm procedures. Initiate and monitor background checks as necessary. Conduct new hire orientation, assisting employees with policy and procedure inquiries. Collaborate with the broader regional People team on special projects and programs, as assigned.
