SUMMARY

Global Asset Technologies LLC (GAT), a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified

NIACT Instructor Personnel

. The

NIACT Instructor

perform support services for non-GIN tasks that exceed the organic Task Force Marshall capabilities detailed within the PWS. Support includes but is not limited to the processing, administrative functions, and any other function necessary to train USAR and United States Navy Individual Augmentees (NIACT).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are 

not

 intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

Completion of Drill Sergeant School and/or Small Group Instructor Training Course in Active Duty or Reserve

Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of US small arms weapons systems.

Demonstrated knowledge of Army doctrine and training principles.

Proficient in Warrior Leader Skills Levels 1-3.

Ability to stand for long periods of time as duty may require stooping, bending, kneeling and other muscular stretching requirements.

Be proficient with the associated blocks of instruction for the individual weapons qualification which includes the M9 Pistol, M16/M4, M249 Machine Gun(familiarization only live fire)), M240B Machine, M2 Machine Gun. 

Instructor personnel shall be familiar with and certify proficiency in all Urban

Ops/Convoy.

Instructor personnel shall be familiar with and certify proficiency in all first aid tasks and certified in Tactical Casualty Combat Care (TCCC).

EST Operator personnel shall possess an advanced working knowledge of the

Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) 2 to include the following scenarios: Basic Rifle

Marksmanship Training, Remedial Marksmanship Training, Individual and Unit Sustainment Training, Tactical Collective Training and Shoot/No Shoot, Low Light and Rules of Engagement.

EST Operator personnel are accountable for all equipment associated with the EST 2; to include EST weapons and extemporaneous EST equipment. Equipment will be sub- hand receipted down from BN S-4.

EST Operator personnel shall ensure that all equipment associated with the EST 2 stays in an operational state; this includes reporting system issues to BN S-4 for repair, designating malfunctioning weapons, shipping those weapons for repair, receiving replacement weapons.

EST Operator personnel shall receive and maintain a certified proficiency on both the operator and maintenance levels of the EST 2.

All personnel must possess a civilian driver’s license (to include Class B/P CDL).

Contractor employees functioning as instructors will undergo a background check every three years. A hard copy of this background check will be maintained in the battalion’s Physical Security Book. Background checks are the responsibility of the Contractor.

Contractors shall have a NACLC, SSBI or NACI.

All contractors will attend quarterly Sexual Harassment and Assault Response

Program (SHARP) and Equal Opportunity (EO) trainings held by TFM BN. Records will be kept by the contractor of attendance and make-ups for required training.

Instructor personnel should be proficient with entering company training schedules and other information into DTMS.

The contractor is required to maintain at least one Instructor Support position dual qualified as an EST 2 Operator and at least one Instructor Support position dual qualified for the Instructor Support position, in the event that a primary instructor is unavailable due to leave, sickness, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

    Required (Minimum) Qualifications

For personnel, whose tasks involve operation of any vehicles must possess a valid U.S. state driver’s license, applicable for the type and class of vehicle being operated.

Be able to operate a Personal Computer with a functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (primarily Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Windows graphical user interface) and Data/web based systems required for task area performing work. Be able to troubleshoot common computer hardware & software problems.

Have a working knowledge of Army and Navy rank structure and military unit relationships (e.g., Company, Battalion, Brigade, Division, etc. and Navy equivalents).

Be able to work under stressful conditions and be physically able to demonstrate the training/support tasks to standard.

Have a working knowledge of mobilization/demobilization operations IAW FORSCOM Regulation 500-3-1 thru 500-3-5.

Must be a US Citizen.

Must be able to pass extensive background investigation and pre-employment medical testing.

Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance and pass a local security screening.

Must be able to articulate, speak, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Contractor shall maintain a high standard of dress and appearance (Business Casual).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Capable of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, rules and regulations.

Meet physical/health requirements for duties.

Must be able to follow Standard Codes of Conduct pertaining to interaction with Army and Navy Personnel.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
