Assistant General Counsel
The candidate will participates in, and represents the corporation in, the most complex legal projects, as an experienced, high-level, legal specialist. Will serves as a key and trusted advisor to senior management in designated area of responsibility. Counsels all decision-making clients and executives reliably. Handles complex legal matters or projects. Provides functional advice, guidance, and training to less-experienced lawyers. Is employed in one of the Practice Groups within the Law Department, staffed with lawyers who have expertise associated with the Practice Group. Engages in the delivery of legal services which may differ from an Assistant General Counsel in another group. May report to a Deputy General Counsel, the VP and General Counsel, a Managing General Counsel, or another Assistant General Counsel who has oversight responsibilities. Must have 8+ years of relevant experience. Knowledge of strategic business values across businesses. Must have Mastery of all the skills at the Senior Counsel level position. Should have superior draftsman, analyst, negotiator and presenter of legal points. Juris Doctor is required. State law license required.
