Senior Counsel
Duties: Providing responsive and innovative legal and policy support to clients in conflict and post-conflict environments, and implements a portfolio of global programs in furtherance of its mission. Will be responsible for managing the implementation of assigned programs, including providing substantive advice to clients and beneficiaries, facilitating trainings and workshops, managing relevant overseas and DC-based program staff, and overseeing the production of comparative and legal analyses. Will also be responsible for measuring program progress against stated goals, ensuring compliance with all funder requirements, and serving as the point person for all funder communication. Will also play a crucial role in supporting new business development by assisting with proposal drafting and sourcing new opportunities. Support in this area allows to stay on the cutting edge of public international law programming. Will work to support employees’ needs and effectively manage talent pool. Play an integral role in responding to employee questions and requests, ensuring smooth on -boarding of employees, and managing employee professional development. Will be an active member of professional network within and outside of the office. Will participate in in events, presentations, and meetings with alumni and staff in DC office; and collaborate with the team to provide support to large projects and initiatives.
