Trust & Estate Strategist
The candidate will work closely with and support Senior Trust & Estate Strategists. Manage an active calendar of meetings, events, and appointments with clients, prospects, and colleagues. Facilitate client and internal meetings focused on estate planning, wealth transfer, and charitable giving. Become a trusted member of the client’s advice team. Review estate planning documents and complex family and financial situations and provide clients with industry leading, proactive, comprehensive advice. Actively monitor beneficiaries on client accounts. Work with outside counsel to draft and implement estate plans. Provide individualized guidance on funding, titling, and asset ownership. Strategize asset allocation based on overall estate valuations. Coordinate special requests and client projects. Work directly with client’s other preferred professionals to inquire about, resolve, or facilitate client requests. Help design and implement improved processes and operational policies. Expand professional development by identifying and pursuing Continuing Education opportunities. Actively engage in available firmwide training. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Must have 5+ years of estate planning or other relevant strategic estate planning experience. Successful candidates will combine rigorous service acumen across many of the following areas: estate planning, estate settlement, estate, GST & transfer taxes, business formation & sales, beneficiaries & titling. Advanced degree or certification related to legal or financial management (JD, Paralegal, CFP, etc.). Previous experience in client relationship management. Experience with a CRM database is appreciated (e.g., Salesforce). Emotional intelligence, professional mindset, and the utmost discretion with clients. Strong communication skills, both written & verbal.
