This facility requires all applicants to be fully COVID vaccinated.

Fully vaccinated is two weeks after the final vaccination dose. The booster dose is recommended but not required at this time.

Department: Shipping – Further Plant Position: Lead Work Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 am – 4:30 pm)

This facility may run 6-7 days a week, Monday-Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays as necessary.

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Assist the warehouse supervisor in ensuring proper flow, storage and daily inventory control of dry ingredients and packaging.

Load and unload trucks and trailers

Operate pallet jacks and forklifts

Stage product in production

Maintain daily reports, inventory ingredients, product, and packaging materials

Order film, boxes, and labels; enter goods receipts for materials and packaging.

Operate the EIM gun

Other duties as assigned

Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing. Must be able to read specifications and other information

REQUIREMENTS:

Previous inventory and/or shipping experience

Must be able to perform job to standard within 15 days

Able to read and write with reading comprehension.

Possess basic math skills

Basic computer skills required

Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are critical

Must be willing to push, pull, carry, and/or lift 40 pounds for some positions.

Must be willing to work in damp, cold or hot environments, reach above shoulder level.

Must be able to perform the duties of the position

Be willing to stand 8- 10 hours a day.

Must wear PPE, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net and beard guard.

Must have or be able to obtain Tyson operator’s license for pallet jack or forklift, if necessary
