Tax Manager - Financial Services

Duties: Provide tax compliance, provision and advisory services to partnerships, corporations, international, and S-corporations for a variety of clients in the banking, investments, asset management and capital markets industries. Lead the planning, budgeting and overall execution of client engagements. Supervise and review work completed by other tax staff professionals, including estimated tax payments, tax filing extensions and tax provisions. Participate in the professional development of other tax staff. Provide timely engagement reviews and annual reviews for tax staff. Keep firm partners and client management informed on the progress of the engagement as well as any important issues discovered that need resolution. Research tax issues and findings that may impact clients' federal, state and local tax planning projects. Advise clients on critical issues identified that impact their business transactions and provide reliable solutions to the clients’ satisfaction. Communicate on behalf of clients with the IRS and other tax authorities, and represent clients at any potential tax audits. Develop and sustain strong client relationships. Participate in client proposals and new business development opportunities.
