The Front Office Specialist contributes to administration of care management. Provides non-clinical support to the assessment and evaluation of members' needs and requirements to achieve and/or maintain optimal wellness state by guiding members/families toward and facilitate interaction with resources appropriate for the care and wellbeing of members. The Front Office Specialist performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments.

Partners in Primary care is a senior-focused primary care clinic organization with 5 local clinics across the Houston region. Our culture is focused on team work and providing a positive and welcoming environment for all. Due to the fast-moving COVID-19 pandemic, we anticipate a need to hire temporary, variable staffing to cover front office needs in our clinics. The position basic needs are as follows:

Excellent customer service skills, to include having clear communication skills and a friendly and calm demeanor.

Strong computer skills to include the ability to understand basic functions in an Electronic Medical System (our current system is E-Clinical works) such as making appointments, communicating with the medical team via creation of telephone notes, etc.

Ability to prioritize tasks in a time-sensitive environment.

The highest level of integrity and commitment to our community’s health.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

One year experience in a patient-facing or customer facing position

Experience with Microsoft Office tools- outlook, word, etc.

Demonstrated excellent patient or customer service and communication skills

Professional demeanor and communication at all times

This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB

Preferred Qualification

Bilingual English and Spanish without limitations to read, write, and speak in both languages

Associate's Degree

Experience with Electronic Medical Records software

Knowledge of medical terminology

Experience with the senior population

Knowledge of Managed care and Medicare

Hours: Training will require two weeks at 40 hours/per week; Monday through Friday; 8-5pm. Guarantee of a minimum of 8 hours each week after training. Hours may vary between 8-40 hours per week depended on business needs.
