A prestigious law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Associate to join its rapidly growing Global Finance team in New York. This role is ideal for an attorney with 3-6 years of experience in executing complex finance transactions and credit arrangements. While asset-based lending experience is a plus, it is not a requirement. The firm's clients include high-profile bank and non-bank lenders, such as private debt funds, BDCs, mezzanine funds, and hedge funds. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials and law firm experience.

Duties

• Execute complex finance transactions and credit arrangements
• Advise clients, including banks and non-bank lenders, on a variety of global finance matters
• Represent high-profile clients such as private debt funds, BDCs, mezzanine funds, and hedge funds
• Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, credit facilities, and related documents
• Collaborate with senior associates and partners on client matters and strategic initiatives
• Stay updated on the latest trends and regulations in global finance

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in global finance or credit transactions
• Experience with asset-based lending is a plus but not required
• Strong academic credentials from a top-tier law school
• Law firm experience preferred
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex projects

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active membership in the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where the candidate intends to practice

Skills

• Expertise in finance transactions, including credit arrangements and loan agreements
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Strong client management and communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple, complex matters in a fast-paced environment
