Compliance Consultant, Disability & Leave Services
The candidate will own and assist with various processes within the DLS team, including: consulting on process design and strategy sessions; drafting and reviewing employee-facing communications, standard operating procedures, plan documents, program control documents, and policies; ongoing maintenance and review of program materials and documents; monitoring changes to federal, state and local leave and accommodation laws to ensure compliance of processes and documents; and consulting with stakeholders on complex or high-risk cases. Will be an integral team member working with legal, compliance, business operations, and leadership to manage compliance issues related to all DLS services. Be responsible for the creation and maintenance of various communications and process documents related to leave and accommodation. Partner with other compliance and legal stakeholders to create documentation or notifications that meet regulatory obligations. Be responsible for tracking and researching legal and regulatory requirements that impact the DLS program. Consult with policy, process, and system owners to ensure content is up to date and accurate. Develop a standardized, recurring process to review and update policies and program documents. Translate complex business concepts into clear, concise and appealing content. Partner closely with the Compliance Manager to develop ongoing compliance controls for the DLS organization. Work independently in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment. Meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, and maintain a strong attention to detail to meet organizational objectives and quality measures. Respond to questions and escalations that may involve policy, plan, practice, and program for issues experienced by employees, managers, and HR. Manage new compliance projects as needs arise.
