Patent Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of patent litigation experience. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in all phases of the client relationship, from understanding the client's technology to providing strategic counseling and working collaboratively with other practice groups to offer comprehensive legal advice. The role may involve litigation in federal court, and the attorney should have superior academic credentials and excellent verbal, written, research, and interpersonal skills. A Bachelor of Science (BS) or higher degree in chemistry, biology, or other life sciences is required, and experience in Hatch-Waxman/ANDA litigation is preferred.

Duties:

• Develop a deep understanding of the client's technology and needs.
• Provide strategic counseling to clients and collaborate with other practice groups to offer comprehensive legal advice.
• Potentially engage in patent litigation in federal court.
• Conduct legal research and prepare written documents.
• Represent clients in patent litigation matters and provide effective legal counsel.
• Assist in all phases of the litigation process, including pre-trial preparation, discovery, trial, and post-trial motions.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates to manage patent litigation cases.
• Maintain open communication with clients and colleagues.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of patent litigation experience.
• A Bachelor of Science (BS) or higher degree in chemistry, biology, or other life sciences.
• Hatch-Waxman/ANDA litigation experience (preferred).
• Superior academic credentials.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong research and analytical abilities.
• Interpersonal skills for effective client and team interaction.

Education:

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in California.
