About the role:

We are looking for a Junior Pricing & Forecasting Analyst to join our East Coast Trading and Portfolio Management team on a Full Time, permanent basis, based in Sydney. Reporting to the Pricing & Forecasting Manager, you will be supporting the team by providing timely and high-quality analysis of demand forecasts, forecast variances, demand patterns and trends. Prepare pricing, maintain and update key pricing assumptions and provide ad-hoc analysis as and when required.

Additional responsibilities will include:

Delivering quality, actionable analysis to decision makers in a timely manner

Providing timely, accurate insights into forecasts of customer demand

Preparing pricing for commercial & industrial customers across electricity, gas and environmentals

Assisting to monitor, analyse and optimise wholesale portfolio and pricing methodology

Supporting wholesale activities and results through data-based insights and predictions

To be successful you will have:

Relevant degree in commerce, economics, mathematics, data science or other relevant numeric discipline (or working towards degree)

Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking abilities combined with a strong attention to detail

Hands-on experience in SQL, Excel or other analytics tools

Highly developed ability to work in a team environment and effectively prioritise workload
