The Strategy Advancement Advisor provides data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities. Provides business intelligence and strategic planning support for business segments or the company at large. The Strategy Advancement Advisor works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Responsibilities
Humana is seeking to find an experienced seasoned leader to develop, design, and advance the strategy and cultural priorities for the Enterprise Associate & Business Solutions (EABS) organization (approx. 150 Humana team mates, approx. 800 total team mates inclusive of strategic partners). The leader will report directly into the Associate Vice President, Service Excellence with a dotted line to the Senior Vice President, Enterprise Associate & Business Solutions for Humana. The role will also act as a 'Chief of Staff' to the SVP, EABS and will own the oversight and responsibility for:
Advancing the EABS strategy, the short and long term roadmap, and the organizational annual priorities
Working with the SVP, EABS and the senior leadership team on the creation of the organization's strategy and all communications regarding the EABS strategy and how it supports and aligns with the CAO and enterprise strategy
Implementing and bringing to life the EABS annual associate engagement action plan
Partnering and working with culture committees across EABS with ownership of EABS culture budget
Developing the EABS internal communications strategy and implement in partnership with CAO communications team including town halls, general organizational communications, and the EABS communications calendar
EABS governance framework and the EABS operating model including building, monitoring, and maintaining the organization's service catalog and it's management,
Building, developing, and implementing the EABS strategic innovation road map
Partnering and maintaining industry relationships regarding shared service operations forums and roundtables and manage the importing of ideas and best practices
Partnering with finance on EABS budget prioritization of investments to bring strategy and priorities to life
Managing and implementing special ad hoc EABS projects with high complexity and sensitivity with direction from the EABS SVP, and/or AVP of Service Excellence
Managing relationships across the enterprise with key business partners
Overseeing EABS demand management, provide visibility into demand drivers, and help business stakeholders make better demand decisions
Owning the customer experience measurement process in partnership with other EABS senior leaders to capture, measure, and quantify the customer experience and leverage the information to inform EABS priorities and actions
Leading a team (future) of professionals/project managers
It's critical that the leader is skilled in the area of people leadership and has the ability to lead by influence. The leader should be able to inspire people to excellence, have a passion for working in cross functional teams, and have a collaborative approach in their leadership style. The individual should be a very strong communicator and have the ability to build relationships with other senior leaders across the Humana enterprise. They should understand how to build creditability in a complex organization and should be a constant learner and willing to share what they have learned with others. They should also be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive projects and understand intersections of complex enterprise bodies of work.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
7 years of relevant experience with executive leadership exposure
Experience developing organizational strategy and advancing those strategies
Ability to lead with influence across a complex and diverse organization of business and shared services
High emotional intelligence and maintain strict confidentiality
Understanding of automation capabilities to deliver solutions
Demonstrated capabilities in creating and curating positive associate and customer experiences using a variety of different platforms including people, technology, and 3rd party relationships
Have a successful career showing consistent career progression into roles of increasing responsibility, complexity, and scale
A person who considers themselves to be an out-of-box thinker with demonstrated experience in innovation development and management
Ability to ensure that solutions are created with end-user 'experience' being at the center of the design, planning, and implementation
A well rounded businessperson who partners effectively with stakeholders and who can earn the respect and trust of peers and members of the senior leadership team
A recognized reputation for inspirational leadership and for getting things done
Strong verbal communicator - high energy, proactive, dynamic and committed leader who instills passion in both internal and external audiences, including management team
Unquestioned ethics and integrity and demonstrated track record of using sound judgement in various ambiguous situations
