responsible sourcing,

research and analysis

anagement.
The core focus of th

role
will include working with account teams
on
both day-to-day and longer-lead
client
projects.

The ideal can

idate will have
experience
i
n
a sustainability
issue area
conducting research, synthesizing data and information,
supporting
strategy development,
drafting
recommendations and
communications m
aterials, and more. The position could work
remotely or
out of
H K’s Texas, California, New York,
Florida, Illinois,
Washington, DC offices
R
esponsibilities could include:
Support teams on research and strategy recommendations to clients across a variety of areas: packaging, climate change, chemicals, responsible sourcing, supply chain, energy, water, recycling,
agriculture,
circular economy, governance, human rights, governance, social impact, philanthropy, and diversity, equity, and inclusion
Perform deskside research – including media monitoring, trends analysis, partnership
audits, benchmarking
, competitive analyses, fact-finding, backgrounders,
and
research on sustainability topics
Assist in the development of
data analyses
and
written materials, including reports,
blogs, internal communications,
presentations,
assessments
, research summaries, and general client correspondence
Support c
oordinat
ion of
meetings, agendas, notes, and administrative support
for events
Participate in team meetings
Develop and regularly update
project management timelines
partnerships
and
conferences
lists.
Analyze industry and marketplace trends and summarize for teams
Support multiple account teams with various projects
Qualifications:
You have 1 years of experience
in relevant sustainability, DE
I,
or
ESG
function.
You can efficiently organize,
prioritize
and manage multiple tasks
You sweat the details and know getting the little things right is as important as the big ones.
Writing comes as second nature to you and in all forms
You express your ideas in a clear and concise manner
You have advanced PC skills: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Teams
, Project,
and other databases/management tools is desired
You are resourceful with excellent time management skills
You have a broad understanding of the fundamentals of key environmental and social
responsibility issues with the ability to remain
up to date
on new and emerging issues, trends, regulations, and commitments
You have an interest in sustainability
, corporate social responsibility
and mission
driven brands
You have strong research and analytical skills
including the ability to gather and interpret
information, then formulate recommendations; the ability to analyze data is desired.
You
are able to
work independently or collaboratively and adapt well to
change –
but are not shy about asking questions and seeking help.
You live near one of our US offices
or
are willing to travel to the office
on occasion
in the future when we return to a more regular schedule
Applicants who have graduated with a Bachelor’s, Graduate degree or
are
self-
educated
will be considered
with education or related work experience in sustainability, climate change,
sustainable communications, responsible supply chains,
and/or
diversity, equity, and inclusion
desired.
Experience in a consulting role is a plus, but not required
