Nursing Assistant/Clinical Secretary
The candidate performs clerical duties on a nursing unit, answers the telephone, relays messages and acts as a receptionist receiving and directing visitors and ambulatory patients. The Clinical Secretary Nursing Assistant is responsible for direct patient care services as assigned by the Clinical Director and under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Should be High School graduate. Must have successful completion of Medical Terminology course and a passing score on the examination. Or may substitute 2 years previous specific work experience with medical terminology for the Medical Terminology course certification. (Example: HIM Tech, Paralegal, Medical Biller, Medical Secretary, Patient Access Representative). Should have completion of approved course of study for Nursing Assistant training or successful completion of fundamentals semester of Nursing school preferred. 1 year Clerical experience or Nursing Assistant experience preferred. Satisfactory Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
