Job Title: Mid-level or Senior Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney
Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm located in Los Angeles, CA, is currently seeking a mid-level or senior associate to join its dynamic Litigation and Dispute Resolution team. The firm is known for its sophisticated litigation practice and requires a candidate with at least 5 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, including significant involvement in false advertising and consumer class action cases. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced litigator to collaborate with top-tier attorneys and work on high-stakes cases, driving the firm’s reputation for excellence.
Duties:
Handle all aspects of commercial litigation from the initial stages through to trials and appeals.
Draft and prepare case evaluations, briefs, pleadings, motions, and other court-related documents for litigation and arbitration matters.
Manage complex disputes, including supervising discovery (documents, written discovery, and depositions).
Take and defend depositions, working closely with fact witnesses and experts.
Collaborate with clients, experts, and co-counsel to develop case strategies.
Conduct in-depth legal research and draft legal memoranda.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of complex litigation experience, specifically in false advertising and consumer class action matters.
Strong case management and writing abilities with significant experience handling client and adversary interactions.
Proven oral advocacy skills, including deposition and court experience.
Preference for candidates with prior law firm experience.
Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship is a plus.
Licensed to practice law in California and good standing.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Active membership in the California State Bar.
