This is a hands-on and diverse leadership position within Personal Risk Services that will be responsible supporting the finance, operational and strategic needs of the business. This includes assisting in the monthly and quarterly accounting close process, performing planning and forecasting activities, and providing clear and accurate production reporting to management (divisional and corporate) on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis. Critical qualities to succeed include the ability to take ownership, identify and recommend remediation for issues, manage projects, develop relationships, as well as, the willingness/desire to continuously build and improve on insurance knowledge. Job Description: Provide management and business partners with accurate and timely financial and operational information/support so informed business decisions can be made. This will occur through the completion of the following: * Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and YTD results for completeness and accuracy. * Compile metrics and analysis on various components of the P&L including Premium, Reinsurance, Commissions and Expenses. * Research and document unusual activity, trends or occurrences and inform divisional personnel of the findings. Continue to follow up on issues until completion. * Prepare impactful presentation materials for senior management meetings. * Assist in the development and implementation of strategies and associated tactical action steps to ensure workflows and processes are completed efficiently and effectively. * Analyze trends in daily/weekly/monthly production numbers. * Develop and maintain regional production reports and provide support to the user community. * Partner with business and support groups (e.g. product, regional sales teams, IT and data analytics groups) to understand and analyze results and develop accurate regional production plans and forecasts. * Work with PRS partners to assist in meeting their business and operational goals. * Contribute to the forecasting, annual planning and strategic planning processes. Skills and Experience: * Bachelors degree preferred. Will consider substantial related work experience. * 5 years relevant experience in underwriting, operations, accounting or financial analysis roles * MBA, CPA, or CMA a plus * Strong business and financial acumen (experience in a finance/accounting role within the insurance industry is a plus) * Experience with P&C Reinsurance a plus * Must demonstrate an orientation to results * Ability to work effectively with other disciplines and all levels of management/staff throughout the organization * Ability to problem solve and work autonomously to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously * Excellent communication skills both oral and written * Strong leadership, technical and analytical skills * Experience with relational databases including development, management, query and reporting (e.g. TM1, PeopleSoft, Cognos, Access, Qlik) * Understanding of internal reporting systems and tools (BAR, MIS, CMR) a plus * Advanced knowledge of Excel Chubb offers a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits package including life, health and dental, vision, a generous retirement savings plan, disability coverage, stock purchase plan, flexible spending accounts, tuition reimbursement, and business casual dress.
