State and Local Tax Manager

The candidate will be managing state tax compliance and consulting projects. Advising clients on an array of issues including multistate tax planning, accounting for income taxes, structuring, and due diligence. Reviewing state tax returns; including overseeing engagement workflows and teams. Researching and analyzing a wide range of tax issues and implications; including, nexus considerations, apportionment methodology, and combined filings. Drafting memorandums, matrices, and other client deliverables. Leading state tax controversy cases; including examinations, audit defense planning, notice responses, and VDA projects. Leveraging technology and other resources to capture efficiencies and technical accuracies. Participating in the billing and collection process. Assisting with other state and local ad hoc projects. Exposure to other state and local issues; including, sales and use taxes, gross receipt taxes, property taxes, employment taxes, and/or credits and incentives.
