IP Docketing Specialist
The candidate will be docketing IP prosecution deadlines and assisting with docketing tasks such as updating the docketing software with new deadlines for US and foreign cases, printing daily reports and monitoring deadlines, gathering docket responses from the group, and updating the firm's database, setting up new clients and matters in the database, conducting trademark and patent status checks on the US Patent and Trademark Office and various foreign agency websites. Preparing IP docket status reports. Assisting attorneys, paralegals, and staff with special projects as assigned. Working knowledge of US and International patent and trademark prosecution processes and their associated rules and procedures. Analytical reasoning skills and ability to interpret rules and instructions accurately; excellent organizational and follow-up skills; excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to prioritize, multitask and pay close attention to details; ability to work independently or as part of a team; ability to easily shift tasks to rebalance work within a fast-paced environment. Proficient with MS Office applications; 6+ years of intellectual property experience in a law firm or legal services environment. Prior IP docketing experience preferred. Prior IP docketing experience with CPi preferred. Undergraduate degree preferred.
