IP / Patent Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm located in Austin, TX, is seeking an IP/Patent Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience. While not mandatory, candidates with undergraduate science or engineering degrees are preferred.

Duties:

• Handle intellectual property (IP) and patent litigation cases.
• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in IP disputes.
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and case preparation.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop legal strategies.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution when appropriate.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in IP and patent litigation.
• Preferred undergraduate science or engineering degree.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of patent law and intellectual property matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Admission to the Texas State Bar is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Texas State Bar (preferred).
