Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial
The candidate will be drafting and negotiating complex agreements and providing quick, concise and commercially focused legal advice. Ideally, this attorney will be well-versed in technology, licensing and financial services, with a critical eye toward risk and regulatory issues. Because the job will involve a large amount of drafting, editing and writing, exceptional writing skills are an absolute necessity. A Juris Doctorate or equivalent degree, with State Bar membership. Should have 8 years of experience practicing either in-house or at a law firm. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to generate creative original legal documents. Hands-on experience, either as outside or inside counsel, to financial services or technology companies. Outstanding communication skills and ability to work both in teams and independently. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills and the ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders across the globe. Experience in payments or finance, particularly with fintech, digital assets or blockchain technology. Ability to be highly engaged and succeed in a collaborative environment.
