Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day legal advice to all levels. Work with different functional areas to identify, assess, and address general legal concerns. Provide legal advice and support to all levels in a wide array of practice areas and special projects as needed. Draft and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, documents and legal instruments. Conduct legal or other research, develop and write memoranda. Quickly and effectively analyze complex matters, laws, and the external risk environment; succinctly and competently provide effective solution-based legal advice taking into consideration legal risk and business objectives. Draft, review and negotiate strategic partner agreements such as MOU’s, NDA’s and trial agreements that support go-to-market efforts. Provide legal assistance on regulatory requirements and filings. In partnership with Policy team, provide legal advice to inform and shape advocacy before Congress, DOT (including FAA), and other federal and state bodies and agencies with respect to existing and/or emerging regulatory policies. Provide legal advice in connection with regulatory due diligence for M&A activities. Develop responses to the legal portion of requests for proposals and other formal procurement documents. Support compliance with applicable laws and company policies. Assist with developing, refining, and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements. Assist with corporate governance and compliance with third-party obligations and advise the management team on these issues. Assist in the management of disputes and litigation matters. Work with/supervise outside counsel as needed.
