Sr. Commissioning Engineer

Profile

The Senior Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for commissioning and handing over of MEP systems for various project types, not limited to new construction, renovations and existing infrastructures. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical services, HVAC systems and applications, Control Panels, and Building Management Systems is a necessity. Applicant should also well versed in various codes, guidelines, and programs such ASHRAE, NYS/C Building Codes and LEED. A Senior Commissioning Engineer will work closely with Project Managers and customers in providing a fully working system on time and in budget. In a senior role he / she is expected to carry out certain project engineering tasks and be able to provide training for internal / external people. Minimum experiece of 3-5 years is required.

Responsibilities

Carry out and document all tasks associated with the pre-commissioning / commissioning of a Building Management.

Be solely responsible in handing over a fully operational system for acceptance by the customer.

Be responsible in ensuring commissioning budgets and program requirements for individual project tasks are maintained or improved upon.

Be responsible in ensuring operation and maintenance manuals, commissioning schedules, handover and witnessing documents are updated, maintained, completed and filed on server / issued to project manager prior to project completion.

Ensure tasks are accurately recorded on timesheets. Provide daily progress updates to project managers by email. Ensure any issues / delays are recorded and communicated to project managers by email. Ensure any post commissioning defects are recorded on Engineers report sheets and issued to project managers.

Manage mentor and support other engineers.
