Minimum Qualifications

• Five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience.
• NATA/BOC certified or certification eligible
• Good standing for licensure as an Athletic Trainer by the KY Board of Medical Licensure
• CPR/AED Certification
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field
• Up to one (1) year of related work experience within a collegiate or professional sports setting

The University of Louisville Athletic Department is seeking qualified candidates for a 6-month temporary position of Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainer for the 2022-23 academic year.  The sport assignment shall be at the discretion of the Senior Director of Sports Medicine, but may include Tennis/Soccer.  Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainers will provide healthcare services for their assigned team, including but not limited to: injury prevention and evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation, practice/event coverage, physician referral, medical appointments.  Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainers will be asked to participate in a mentorship program and may be assigned professional development tasks during their tenure. This position will report to the Senior Director of Sports Medicine or his/her designee. Position is a monthly/salaried position earning $3,956.33 per month.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide game, practice, conditioning athletic training coverage for assigned sports
• Provide training room coverage
• Medical records management
• Other duties assigned by the Senior Director of Sports Medicine
