An established law firm in Chicago, IL is seeking a dedicated and motivated Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney. This full-time position offers the opportunity to gain invaluable hands-on trial experience, including participation in depositions, arbitration hearings, and jury trials. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of litigation experience and a strong passion for advocating on behalf of injured workers. The position requires working in-person at the firm's office in Chicago, IL.

Location:

Duties:

• Represent clients in workers' compensation cases, providing comprehensive legal representation from intake through settlement or trial.
• Conduct depositions, attend hearings, and participate in arbitration and jury trials.
• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and case summaries.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates, answer questions, and guide them through the legal process.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to manage cases efficiently and effectively.
• Manage a caseload of workers' compensation claims, ensuring deadlines are met and cases are handled in a timely manner.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding their rights and options.
• Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Illinois State Bar.
• 1-3 years of litigation experience, with a focus on workers' compensation or personal injury law preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• A passion for advocating on behalf of injured individuals.
• Experience with trial work and courtroom procedures is a plus.
• Portable business is a plus, but not required.
• Must be able to work in-person at the Chicago, IL office.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Illinois State Bar.
