Duties: Writing and updating curriculum to meet new and existing policy guidelines and practice standards for supervision and child welfare practice. Work with subject matter experts to develop curriculum, course content, and supporting materials. Deliverables to include curriculum guide, competencies, levels of learning, student handouts, trainer aides, practice activities, self-paced modules, and culturally relevant. Work with DCYF FamLink subject matter experts to develop curriculum, course content, and supporting materials to meet the needs of DCYF workforce, including line staff and supervisors Applying knowledge of current Child Welfare professional literature and research in curriculum development with an emphasis on literature and research regarding the child welfare workforce. Applying effective adult learning methodologies and techniques in developing curriculum and coaching resources. Develop basic e-learning modules using a PowerPoint based tool such as Adobe Presenter or Articulate. Develop and upload content for on-line and blended instructor lead courses in an online course platform. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with management, colleagues and partners Participate in statewide workgroups related to all levels of trainings or other related topics. Conduct on-going curriculum content and delivery reviews, evaluations, and observations, with trainers, coaches, DCYF staff, and other key contacts to ensure that materials and content are accurate, effective, competency-based, and meet the training needs of DCYF and external stakeholders. Working directly with other trainers and coaches in assisting and preparing them for delivering and using common curriculum. Training and coaching DCYF’s workforce according to current child welfare competencies, foster parent/caregiver training competencies, procedures, practice model, and accepted practice standards. Facilitating small and large group discussions while applying classroom management principles. Applying conflict resolution techniques in managing adult learners. Applying effective adult learning methodologies and techniques in delivering training and coaching.
