Senior Pharmacy Technician - Tech Verification

Job Description

This position is responsible for validation of electronic prescriptions in compliance with all state and federal laws that govern the practice of pharmacy. The individual must hold a Technician registration in good standing in the state of Idaho, and have National Certification. Technicians will direct questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist and/or prescriber for clarification. Technicians must be able to work Business Required Overtime when needed and accommodate flexible scheduling. Other areas of focus for Pharmacy Technicians may include the entry of prescriptions into the computer system in a timely fashion, performing calling functions, and faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitution and formulary changes. To help support development and maximize workflow, Technicians will be asked to perform other pharmacy technician functions as required.

Required Qualifications

Must be available for training for 2 weeks starting on or around August 1, 2022.

Must have a valid Idaho Certified Technician Registration.

Must have at least 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer at least 3 years experience as a pharmacy technician.
