A reputable law firm is seeking a Junior Tax Associate attorney with 1-3 years of transactional tax experience to join its tax practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of tax-related transactions, including real estate, fund formation, and REITs. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in tax law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle both team-based and individual responsibilities.

Location:

Duties:

• Work on a variety of transactional tax matters, including real estate, fund formation, and REITs.
• Provide tax-related legal advice and draft memoranda and written opinions.
• Analyze tax issues and offer strategic guidance on partnership tax, investment funds, and real estate transactions.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to manage complex tax transactions.
• Handle significant individual responsibilities while working as part of a larger legal team.
• Conduct legal research and provide analysis on tax matters related to client transactions.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of transactional tax experience.
• Demonstrated interest in tax transactions, such as coursework in partnership tax and other tax-related areas.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including experience drafting memoranda and legal advice.
• Ability to manage both team projects and individual responsibilities effectively.
• Experience with partnership tax, investment funds, REITs, and/or real estate is preferred.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Candidates currently pursuing an LL.M in Taxation are strongly encouraged to apply.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar is required.
