Counsel, Equipment Leasing and Financing
The candidate will advise relationship managers and credit risk teams on structuring leasing and loan transactions in varied industries, including construction, transportation and manufacturing. Provide transactional support, including the review, negotiation, and drafting of relevant documents, including term sheets, leasing and loan agreements for true and “TRAC” tax leases, capital leases, and term loans, and related security/collateral documentation. Prepare and maintain standard documentation and procedures. Manage closings, including coordinating with internal business units and outside counsel. Should have a Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited institution. Licensed to practice law in the State of New York. Should have 3-5 years of experience with leasing and loan transactions, practicing at a law firm and/or in-house legal department at a commercial bank, equipment leasing/finance company, or other financial services company. Must have the ability to exercise good judgment and decision-making skills under pressure, multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines.
