Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its Las Vegas office. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation and a strong desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced litigation environment. The candidate should have solid experience with civil procedure, depositions, and court appearances, and demonstrate a commitment to business development and fostering diversity within the legal profession.

Duties:

• Handle a variety of commercial litigation matters, including pre-trial motions, depositions, and court appearances.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents.
• Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and interact with clients regularly.
• Participate in business development efforts to help grow the firm's litigation practice.
• Contribute to the firm's team-oriented work environment and collaborate with colleagues on complex cases.
• Engage in client-facing activities, including meetings, strategy discussions, and presentations.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation practices.
• Experience taking and defending depositions and handling court appearances.
• Must be admitted to the Nevada bar or eligible for admission.
• Admission to the Arizona, California, or Colorado bar is a plus.
• Excellent academic credentials with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple cases.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be admitted to practice law in Nevada (or eligible for admission).
• Admission to practice in other jurisdictions such as Arizona, California, or Colorado is a plus.
