The ERP Platform Architect is a senior technical position, with ultimate technical responsibility for the ERP environment. The candidate for this position will have a deep understanding and many years of experience with ERP platforms. They will have a track record of multiple technical project implementations with varying team and organizational sizes. The candidate will also have a deep understanding of how platforms interact and integrate with other technologies and applications. It is not required, but candidates at this level will typically have professional certifications or designations (e.g. Workday Pro (or equivalent) Certification, Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer \u2013 MCSD).
Provides technical leadership, creates standards for technical approaches and/or practices for their platform
Maintains standards for interaction with their platform
Is responsible for the overall health and efficiency of their platform
Proactively works with other IT team members to keep their platform at a reasonable version level
Will often be the single point of contact with the vendor partners for their platform
Maintains awareness of trends, new tools, efficiencies - - shares with entire team on routine basis
Creates, reviews, and approves designs and project plans for their specific platform
Provides input and guidance to senior IT leadership for planning, forecasting, and budgeting
Design, document, develop, test, debug, deploy, and support a variety of customizations or configurations for their platform
Code or platform reviews
Provide escalated support for junior team members
Perform any other assigned tasks deemed necessary by management
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
Experience deploying enterprise wide IT applications & solutions
8 years of experience with Workday Financials or other equivalent SaaS ERP solutions, Microsoft technologies, application design, development, and administration
.Net Development and Data Integration with front end applications
MS SQL database architecture and development
Familiarity with MS SQL administration (logical and physical database design, backup/recovery, security and access, replication, performance monitoring and tuning).
Direct technical integration experience with Enterprise Resource Planning solutions and/or large-scale accounting/financial systems
Dashboard and Web based reporting tools
Change Management and Business Process Mapping experience in translating customer business requirements into workable IT-delivered solutions
Previous experience implementing and/or supporting enterprise HRIS applications (e.g. ADP, Success Factors, Workday, Oracle HCM, etc.) is preferred but not required
Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Retail environment experience is preferred but not required
Platforms: Enterprise Resource Planning solutions (Workday experience preferred)
Databases: MS SQL Server
Operating Systems and Environments: Microsoft stack, Azure
Tools: Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, VS Code, Business Intelligence Design Studio, Team Foundation Server, VSTS
Other: SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Visio
