ENSCO's Information Technology Intern in Springfield, VA will work in all areas of IT to provide technical assistance to staff and participate in the support of the IT infrastructure for a 1 to 2 year term. Duties will include the following:-    Provide desktop and software end user support to troubleshoot and resolve device issues-    Participate in IT project planning & implementation, and support software deployments & upgrades-    Perform system administration related tasks such as imaging & deploying windows based workstations-    Assist with developing & maintaining end user, and internal IT documentation by documenting common support questions & answers•    U.S. Citizenship required•    Enrollment in science oriented degree program for Associates or Bachelor’s Degree•    Able to commit to a 1 to 2 year internship term approximately 20 hours per week•    Familiarity with PC hardware – experience building PCs and/or troubleshooting PCs to card level•    Windows OS – experience installing current Microsoft windows operating system, locating, installing, and upgrading drivers, experience customizing and configuring the OS to suit preferences or requirements•    Applications – experience with common Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) including browsers, compression utilities, password management, runtimes, media/codecs, and security utilities•    Office – experience with Microsoft Office suiteExperience with:Bash scriptingPowerShell scriptingAtlassian softwareSVN and GIT source code repositoryTomcat, Apache, IIS servicesMSSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, Oracle databasesVMware hypervisors and technologiesActive Directory and Group Policy Object (GPO) Winbind, Kerberos, and SambaCisco networking and firewallingHelpdesk supportSharePoint#LI-DM1The Information Systems and Technology (IST) Division is responsible for building and operating ENSCO’s critical information technology systems and services. Responsibilities of the IST Division include aligning information technology investments with business goals and requirements; understanding a diverse ecosystem of technology needs, security risks, and compliance requirements; and building the systems, processes, and personnel resources required to meet these challenges. IST also encompasses responsibility for securing ENSCO’s information infrastructure in accordance with various compliance regulations.
