The candidate will defend wage and hour class actions and PAGA representative actions. Will prepare cases for trial, arbitration, and mediation. Analyze class data and utilize experts when appropriate. Draft employment documents. Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery. Researching state, federal, and administrative law. Appear for hearings and conferences before state and federal courts and administrative agencies (CRD, EEOC, ALRB, DLSE, Cal/OSHA). Draft and argue motions, including motions for summary judgment and class certification. Take and defend depositions. Manage own caseload and calendar. Should have a valid California Bar license. Trial experience or preparation is preferred. Being bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
